Mfg. Operations Analyst - Lean
* Function as local Lean project plan manager for facility regarding site specific lean manufacturing initiatives. Guide and drive local site with project development and execution utilizing 5S-Kaizen-SMED through the site management team.
* Ensure application of Lean/Six Sigma methodology in technical analysis and documentation.
* Manage and directly supervise project team lead and members to facilitate the completion of all local ongoing project plans or process improvement initiatives for the site by leading the local plan execution.
* Maintain lean manufacturing reporting requirements to monitor project status and results. Identifies project barriers, scope variance, potential missed deadlines and/or deliverables and remove the barriers proactively.
* Partner with process owners to gain a full understanding of the tasks to be undertaken. Drives efforts through local site management to research, analyze and recommend project work for process improvements.
* Prepare, submit and manage site, division and inter-plant recommendations.
* Coordinate and deliver training on continuous improvement concepts (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to frontline and middle management.
* Develop Department Managers' and Supervisors' skill sets through formal Continuous Improvement efforts.
* Cross support sister plants Continuous Improvement efforts.
* Summarize and present site specific project or process improvement progress report in monthly Lean/Six Sigma project reviews. Maintain an issue tracking database for the quick and organized retrieval and dissemination of information.
* Participate on company and division Continuous Improvement meeting, projects, initiatives and events.
* Work directly with and under the direction of the Division's Corporate office responsible for project management, Six Sigma/lean program administration, to ensure the plant's initiative and activities are aligned and in accordance within the Division's overall goals and objectives.
* Serve as a liaison between the assigned facility and the corporate management, facilitating the flow of information and the adherence to policies, procedures, timeline and other objectives.
* Perform other duties, as required Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Experience
* 2 year degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
* 2 - 5 years work experience
* Coaching, mentoring, leading groups and/or project teams
* Experience training adult learners
* Leading change initiatives in established facilities
* Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt certification required. Incumbent must attain certification within 1st yr on this job
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; ability to learn and become efficient in department database systems
* Knowledge and experience using basic project management practices, methodology and procedures
