Manufacturing Operations Analyst - Application for Current Mohawk Employees
Analyzes manufacturing data to include production, waste, maintenance costs, and other related information for the purposes of developing meaningful documents and reports for management. Must be attentive to detail, and be able to multi-task. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to work with and download data from ASC Sequel, Diver, and AS400 applications is required. Works in a general manufacturing environment. Degree of independence with position but candidate must use extreme care in the performance of job duties due to final approval authority.
* Gathers information through computerized downloads and conferring with team members and management in the involved areas. Evaluates and integrates data from a variety of sources to develop reports for management to recommend actions that optimize existing processes and the use of resources. Tracks and analyzes data to assist management in maintaining key performance measures while improving on established objectives within the assigned area.
* Provides written reports or other documentation to give management accurate and timely data to make informed business decisions.
* Assist Industrial Engineers with documenting existing processes and make recommendations to management regarding process improvement opportunities. Assist I.E.'s with work measurement and time study techniques on the plant floor as required.
* Under guidance from management, be an active team member involved in the implementation of recommended improvements. Follows progress to achieve the best possible results. Facilitates a team environment and communication among other groups to generate and transfer effective and efficient business processes and initiatives throughout the assigned area.
* Work in a stress related environment using extreme caution when making disposal decisions, which could lead to errors in production and monetary loss.
* Keeps informed of developments and trends in the field.
Qualifications
Education/Knowledge/Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, or actively pursuing Bachelor's degree, and 1-2 years of progressively responsible job specific work experience in an environment of comparable size and diversity. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel application.
* Maintains current knowledge relevant to the level of the position in the areas of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and financial performance.
Competencies
* Excellent oral, written, presentation, interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management and internal and external customers.
* Ability to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with the demonstrated experience in contributing to concept development and facilitating the development and implementation of business oriented projects.
* Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and other internal or department specific hardware and software.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret data and create meaningful reports and information for management
