Environmental Engineering Coordinator

Major Functions and Scope:


*Coordinate data for air-permit renewals, sampling, reporting for wastewater, and emission inventories for multiple Mohawk sites
*Conduct Indoor Air Quality Monitoring and provide regulatory audit assistance under the guidance of senior team members
*Coordinate SARA 312 reporting data and new construction permits, assist with facility expansion permits, and coordinate data gathering to develop and implement environmental plans, including SPCC, SWPPP, ODCP and others for multiple sites
*Maintain chemical inventory and assist with multi-media for domestic audits
*Assist senior team members with review of designs/projects and new equipment for environmental issues
*Assist in the development of systems/procedures/guidelines and policies needed to ensure uniform activity in environmental area
*Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Competencies:
*Associates degree or 2 years college highly preferred.
*Knowledge of and ability to learn emergency response procedures/requirements to provide guidance to internal and external customers
*Work experience or equivalent training and experience that provides incumbent with the knowledge of basis or commonly used rules, procedures or operations, or basic skills to operate equipment
*Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skill, to effectively communicate via the telephone with internal and external customers; and ability to maintain professionalism and respond tactfully in a customer friendly manner
*Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, polices, guidelines and processing standards
*Ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner, with meticulous attention to detail, and accuracy; and the ability to meet deadlines.
*Science/technical exposure a plus in order to work with chemicals, wastewater and waste issues and read and interpret rules and regulations for different states.
*Ability to communicate technical matters to team members and internal clients with various levels of knowledge and skills in the environmental area.

Other Pertinent Job Information:
Must be able to travel locally (2 -3 times a week) and potentially to locations outside the N. GA area (US and Mexico) 1-2 times monthly. Must interact closely with various teams/organizations within and outside Mohawk
